Ink and Insights early submission is here yet again. Last year I placed three of my books into this competition. The feedback was amazing, even if it was somewhat brutal at times. (mostly to my ego...)
I find it interesting that I am reworking my top scorer from last year, just as the competition comes around this year (after a six month long Hiatus, or as most people call it, really bad writers block).
Not really sure what I am going to do. But my advice to you is check out this competition if you are a serious writer who has a manuscript you are wanting feedback on. (since the most feedback from editors and agents normally consist of no, without so much a reason other then they are just not interested at this time.) this is real feedback from the industry, and the only writing competition worth the money you pay to enter in my opinion.
I have so many story ideas and characters in my head that it gets a little crowded up there, which is why I am finally trying to get everything organized... I am not sure what this means for the stories I have been working on in the last couple of years, all I know is that we are no longer doing children's books and I am fully focused on my fairytale novellas and other books series.
Some good news? I now have two series. My fairytale Novellas are turning into a series about the 13 wizard families mentioned in Unmasked: Ryliet's Enchantment. Each will have their own individual novella, but will all come together in the last novel. Of course there is also my Greek Mythology series which is stuck in volcano right now.
That is all for now... There is an end to writers block... I have not come up with any good tricks to emerge from it, other then to just start writing, even if you are just practicing, writing a version of something that already exists. Write.

I am a fairytale writer of children's books and young adult novels. At the moment I have self published through my own publishing company. Remnants Publishing. Unmasked is my first long short fairytale. Polarbe's Hibernation is our children's book. And there is plenty more on the way.
