A long time ago, two stars barreled through space. They were hurtling across the night sky; at such speeds that they seemed destined for a collision.
As they began to approach each other; you could hear earth inhale; waiting for the inevitable explosion.
The stars barely slid by each other. Each stars momentum and speed was unaffected. As the earth exhaled it seemed to cause a ripple; sending both stars slightly off course.
One star was sent through a harsh meteor storm; as the other seemed to sail aimlessly through space. Both seeking their one true orbit; to travel the universe in.

I was attempting to write a toast or a story for my Sister's upcoming wedding and this is what I came up with; however it does not really work. But I love the concept, and will eventually make a complete story out of it. So I am left where I started today; no closer to making a toast or fun story for my Sister's wedding.
The story, A One True Orbit is going to be a fairy tale about the stars. It is a love story of sorts and although it will not be for my sisters wedding; I will most likely dedicate it to her and her husband; as they somewhat inspired the story. I hope you enjoyed the very early sneak peek at a new story idea I will be working on.
Have you ever written a metaphor story? What did you use as the Metaphor?
I am a fairytale writer of children's books and young adult novels. At the moment I have self published through my own publishing company. Remnants Publishing. Unmasked is my first long short fairytale. Polarbe's Hibernation is our children's book. And there is plenty more on the way.
