The Sixth Grader inside is rather disappointed in the lack of development in this area. Why? Because I have some of the most amazing, movie like dreams almost every night, sometimes more then one a night. This is one of the major things that influence my stories.
In fact I still remember a lot of them, even ones I had in early childhood. Needless to say I wish, and have always wished that there was such a machine. One that could record the amazing images and stories that I have come to cherish. Sometimes there are just no words to describe the out-of-this-world exquisite settings. Many of my children's stories actually started out from a dream that I have had, including Polarbe's Hibernation and our upcoming Halloween monster story.
Last night I had one such dream. It was actually about a machine that could make anything that a person with a huge imagination could come up with, in 3d. Made into movies and books. It was a corporation, who was looking for the next prodigy. Walt Disney had been the last person who had succeeded to make the programs and technology work. I was the next. Needless to say I learned the price of such technology and the machine and I started to become one.
I woke up and wrote down everything I could remember, but part of me just wished, despite the consequences, that such a machine and company could actually exist.
Maybe in the future it can. Until then I will have to be content with writing my dreams down and making them into books and movies the old fashioned way. Until then I will be dreaming, and writing. - K. A. Petentler
